Delete Your ReleaseQuest Account
You can permanently delete your ReleaseQuest Account and its associated online data at any time.
Delete your account in the app
- Open ReleaseQuest and select the Profile tab.
- Tap the Edit button in the top-right corner.
- Open Account Controls.
- Select Delete ReleaseQuest Account and confirm.
The in-app process deletes the account after any authentication confirmation required by your sign-in provider.
Request deletion without the app
If you cannot access ReleaseQuest, email the address below with the subject “ReleaseQuest Account Deletion”. Include your ReleaseQuest username and whether you used Apple or Google to sign in. When possible, send the request from the email address associated with the account.
We may ask for limited additional information to verify that you control the account. We will never ask for your Apple or Google password, authentication code, access token, or private key. Verified requests are normally completed within 30 days.
Data that will be deleted
- Your ReleaseQuest authentication record and account identifier.
- Your username reservation, display name, biography, profile picture, visibility settings, level, and experience points.
- Your friendships, friend requests, blocked-account relationships, and reports associated with the account.
- Your synced ReleaseQuest Account library and its visibility information.
Data that remains on your device
Account deletion does not erase local lists, notes, journals, preferences, exports, or other data stored only on your device. You can remove local data separately from the app's data controls, your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.
